A magnificent concert was organized at the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Turkish Music State Conservatory and the ancient city of Kibrya.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Provincial Museum Directorate, a Spring Concert was organized at the ancient city of Kibrya by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

In his speech before the concert, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar said, "Gathering in a historical venue in Gölhisar today reminds us once again how valuable the sparkle, motivation, and energy in your eyes are. I kiss and embrace all of you in this meaningful environment. You are the most precious assets, the most valuable treasures of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

What I think in this atmosphere is that this work, built thousands of years ago and still standing strong, shows how valuable the efforts and sacrifices of the people in the past are even today. They must have thought that their works would serve humanity for many years to come. But what about us? What works will we leave to future generations? We should think about what legacies we will leave to the generations after us, to the centuries, even to the millennia. Who will benefit from these works? Will they remember us? Will we be able to leave works that will be remembered for centuries?

Within the framework of our responsibilities, we must leave works to ourselves and to the future. As Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, we focus on social contribution from universal knowledge. Together with our students, we strive to do things that benefit Burdur, our country, and our society. We should take the perspective of our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy, work harder, serve more, and make contributions to society.

I thank the Conservatory for the performance they will present in this historical venue. I am also grateful to our valuable instructors in the archaeology department who contributed to the discovery and preservation of this place, especially to Prof. Dr. Şükrü Özüdoğru and his team. With their dedicated work, they brought this historical heritage to light and are still preserving it. In this context, I would like to express that we will continue to protect important historical sites such as Sagalassos, Kibrya, and Kremna.

Following this, Gölhisar District Governor Kadir Ulusoy thanked everyone involved in preparing the event. He requested the students to share posts on their social media accounts to introduce Gölhisar, Kibriya, and Odeon to the world.

After the speeches, as part of the "Musical Days in Districts" program, a Turkish Folk Music concert was performed by the MAKÜ Turkish Music State Conservatory orchestra under the vocals of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynel Turan. This was followed by a Turkish pop music concert by the MAKÜ Conservatory students' group, Group KARO. Participants, especially students, had a great time at the concerts.
